Impact of Online Discussion Platform and Pedagogy on Student Performance

Packback conducted a large-scale research study in partnership with ten community colleges, systems, and online institutions across the country to better understand how AI can improve online discussion. The key findings from the study compare the impact of Packback use on course outcomes to those attained using LMS discussion and found the system to drive an improvement in A's and B's, and a reduction of D's F's and W's, the summary of which is presented in our 3-page pdf.

Participants included Maricopa Community Colleges, Ivy Tech Community College, SUNY Online, WSU Tech, Central Piedmont Community College, Miami Dade College, Lone Star College-University Park, Onondaga Community College, HACC Central Pennsylvania Community College, and Florida State College at Jacksonville.
